1. Scope and who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to Rayista for iPhone, its App Store distribution, the Rayista website at rayista.com, and support communications. Rayista is developed and published by Viacheslav Shkliarov, trading as Kavoye (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

Rayista does not collect data from the app. There is no account, no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no social feed. We do not receive your photos, videos, or camera activity.

2. Camera and microphone

Rayista requests Camera access so it can show a live viewfinder and capture photos and video. The camera feed is processed on your iPhone to render the selected look and is not transmitted to us or to any third party.

Rayista does not record audio and does not request microphone access. Video captured in the current version is intentionally silent.

3. Your captures and on-device storage

When you take a photo or record a video, Rayista keeps a private copy in the app’s Application Support directory and generates a square thumbnail so the in-app library can display it. An on-device database records which captures exist, when they were made, and which look was used.

This information stays on your iPhone. It is included in your device backups according to your own iOS and iCloud backup settings. We have no access to it.

Removing an item inside Rayista deletes the app’s private copy and its record. It does not delete any copy that was already saved to Photos.

4. Photos library

Rayista requests Photos “Add Only” access when it saves a capture to your photo library. Each successful capture is written to Photos independently of the app’s own library, so the Photos copy remains yours to manage, edit, or delete in the Photos app.

Rayista does not need permission to read your existing photo library in order to work.

5. Looks and the effect catalog

Every look ships inside the app as a fixed data recipe. The app does not request a catalog from a server, does not download looks, and does not report which looks you preview, favourite, or capture with. New looks arrive in app updates through the App Store.

6. App Store distribution and subscriptions

Apple provides Rayista downloads, in-app purchases, and updates through the App Store. Rayista is free to download. Rayista Pro is available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription.

StoreKit provides Rayista with limited transaction information, including the product identifier, purchase date, verification result, and current entitlement status. Rayista processes this on your device to decide whether Pro is active. We do not operate a separate purchase server, licence key, or Rayista account.

Apple can process your Apple Account, payment, transaction, device, and related information under its Privacy Policy and the applicable App Store terms. Rayista does not receive your payment-card details.

7. Website

Cloudflare hosts, delivers, and protects the Rayista website. Cloudflare processes network and security information such as your internet address, browser and device details, requested page, referring page, request time, and security signals to deliver and protect the site under its Privacy Policy.

The website does not set analytics or advertising cookies, does not embed third-party trackers, and does not build a visitor profile.

8. Information you choose to send

When you email support@rayista.com, we receive what you include: your email address, your message, and any device details, screenshots, or sample files you attach.

Please send only what is needed to resolve your request. Photos and videos can contain location and other metadata, so review an attachment before sending it.

9. How we use and share information

We use information received outside the app only as reasonably necessary to:

• answer support questions and respond to privacy or legal requests;
• deliver, update, and protect Rayista and its website;
• diagnose reported faults and improve the product; and
• meet legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and security obligations.

We do not sell personal information. Limited information can be shared with Apple, Cloudflare, our email provider, professional advisers, or public authorities when reasonably necessary for the purposes above or required by law. Those providers handle information under their own terms and privacy policies.

10. Legal bases and international processing

Where UK or European data-protection law applies, relevant legal bases can include performing a contract or taking steps at your request, our legitimate interests in operating, supporting, improving, and securing Rayista and its website, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where we specifically ask for it.

Service providers may process information in other countries. Where required, transfers are protected using applicable legal safeguards.

11. Retention and deletion

Your captures and the app’s library records remain on your iPhone until you delete them or remove the app. Deleting Rayista removes its private copies and records; copies already saved to Photos remain in Photos until you delete them there.

Subscription and transaction records are controlled by Apple under its retention practices. Rayista checks current StoreKit entitlements on your device and does not keep a server-side purchase history.

Support email is kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain support history, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

12. Security

Rayista keeps its data on your device, uses iOS security features and app sandboxing, is distributed through the App Store, and uses HTTPS provided by the operating system where a network request is made. No system is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your iPhone, your Apple Account, and anything you export or share.

13. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information we hold about you. You may also withdraw consent and complain to your local data-protection authority.

Because Rayista keeps your captures on your device, we usually hold nothing about you beyond support correspondence. You can contact Apple directly about information controlled by its services.

14. Children

Rayista does not require an account and does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. If a child has sent personal information to support, a parent or guardian can contact us to request its deletion.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Rayista, its distribution, its service providers, or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will remain available at this URL.
