Get the shot.

Requirements

• Rayista requires an iPhone running iOS 26 or later.
• Camera access is required. Photos “Add Only” access is requested the first time you save a capture.
• Some video codecs and certain frame rates depend on your iPhone model.

Take your first shot

1. Open Rayista and allow Camera access when iOS asks.
2. Swipe the look strip along the bottom and watch the viewfinder change as you go.
3. Frame the shot and press the shutter. What you see is what gets captured.

If the viewfinder stays black, check Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera and confirm Rayista is allowed.

Record video

1. Press and hold the shutter to start recording.
2. Keep holding and drag toward the lock target to keep recording hands-free.
3. While locked, use the pause control to interrupt a take and resume it later. Paused time is removed from the finished video.
4. The side shutter takes a still photo without interrupting the recording. Press Stop in the centre to finish.

Video is portrait and, in this version, intentionally silent: Rayista does not record audio and does not ask for microphone access.

Looks and favourites

• Every look can be previewed live, including Pro looks.
• Favourite a look and it moves to the front of the strip, in the order you arrange.
• Looks are grouped into collections in the look tray, and a look can appear in more than one.
• Looks ship inside the app, so new ones arrive with app updates rather than a download.

Formats and camera settings

• Photos can be captured as HEIF or JPEG.
• Video resolution, frame rate, codec, and stabilization can be set to what your iPhone supports.
• Flash, timer, grid, and aspect ratio are in the camera’s top controls.
• Tap to focus, then drag to adjust exposure.

Your library and Photos

Rayista keeps its own private library of what you shot, and each successful capture is also saved to Photos. The two copies are independent: removing an item in Rayista deletes Rayista’s copy only, and the Photos copy stays until you delete it in Photos.

Deleting the app removes its private library. Save anything you want to keep to Photos first.

Rayista Pro

Rayista is free to download, and 10 looks are free to capture with. Rayista Pro unlocks capture with every Pro look in both photo and video, including new looks as they arrive.

Pro is available at $4.99 / month or $29.99 / year as an auto-renewable subscription billed by Apple. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account’s subscription settings; uninstalling the app does not cancel it.

Changed device or reinstalled? Open Rayista’s settings and choose Restore Purchases while signed in to the Apple Account that bought the subscription.
